Overview

PDFToolsNow ("we", "our", or "us") operates pdftoolsnow.com. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

The short version: your PDF files never leave your device. All PDF processing happens entirely in your browser using client-side JavaScript and WebAssembly. We have no server that receives or stores your files.

Information We Collect

Files and documents

We do not collect, store, transmit, or have access to any files you process on PDFToolsNow. All operations (merge, split, rotate, convert, watermark, sign, etc.) run locally inside your browser. Your files are never sent to any server.

Usage analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to collect anonymised usage data. This helps us understand which tools are popular and how to improve the site. Data collected includes:

• Pages visited and time spent
• Approximate geographic region (country/city level)
• Browser type and operating system
• Referral source (how you found the site)
• Anonymised IP address (last octet masked)

We do not use analytics data to identify individual users or link usage patterns to personal identities. IP anonymisation is enabled.

Automatically collected technical data

Like all websites, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) may collect standard server log data such as your IP address, browser type, and request timestamp. This data is used solely for security and infrastructure purposes and is not shared with third parties.

Third-Party Services

Data Retention

Google Analytics retains aggregated usage data for 14 months by default. Cloudflare logs are retained per their standard policy (typically 30 days). We do not store any personal data on our own systems.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request deletion of your data
• Opt out of analytics tracking (see our Cookie Policy)
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

Because we collect only anonymised analytics data, there is generally no personal data we can identify or delete on an individual basis. You can opt out of Google Analytics at any time via the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Children's Privacy

PDFToolsNow is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of PDFToolsNow after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
